MacHaydn Theatre

The Turnblads are back! Edna and Wilbur and their darling daughter Tracy will once again fill the theatre with laughs, fun and a little bit of a lesson in “Hairspray”, for three weeks: July 2 through 19. This show has it all: music galore as Tracy tries to become one of “The Nicest Kids In Town”; action as the girls tell their mothers “Mama I’m A Big Girl Now”; excitement as teen romance blooms and a protest lands Tracy in “The Big Doll House”, and fun throughout as Edna and Wilbur reaffirm their love in “Timeless To Me” and Tracy and her new friends prove “You Can’t Stop The Beat”. “Hairspray” won Tony’s for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score. Berkshire Bright Focus said: “It is just the fun of this show that keeps it so popular and the fun is all here at the Mac-Haydn.” Performance days & times vary, machaydntheatre.org or call 518-392-9292 for information and reservations.
