The original Head West Band was put together by two musicians, Ken Williams (vocals – lead guitar) and Clyde Krein ( Drums and vocal) who wanted to play some other music than Classic Rock, so they decided to do Country with a touch of Southern Rock.
They brought in Ben Hall (vocals and Rythym guitar) and Darrick Williams (Bass guitar) to make the rest of the band.
After playing for a couple of years the group then decided to bring in a female vocalist…. asking Trisha Misoznick (Barr) to join the band bringing her Vocals putting this Band over the top.
Some of the Bands members have opened for National Acts and have played in a number of area bands, such as Dixie Road, Banche, Visions, The Watt 4 Band and The Revolvers.
The musical and vocal Talent of this Band enables them to play music by such artists as – Zac Brown, The Band Perry, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Melissa Ethridge, Little Big Town, Hank Williams Jr. to name a few.
The Bands female following has dubbed themselves as the Head West Posse! and are always looking for more friends to join them on the dance floor.
Don’t be surprised if you hear an Oldie or Classic Rock tune to pop out during the show :-)
The band participates in many local events such as Claverack’s music in the park, Greenport’s music in the park. Athens Street Festival and other area venues.

Members of The Head West Band are pleased to give back to their community by donating their time for this special event At Claverack’s 225th Birthday Celebration!
