GREENPORT — Deputy Town Clerk Debbie Mausolf said of the 12 years the town has held its annual Community Day, this year’s event had one of the best turnouts.
The town held its Community Day on Saturday at the town park with live music from local band Southbound, food and 35 vendors, as well as activities for the kids such as pumpkin painting.
“We do this for the community. It holds everyone together,” Mausolf said. “Everything is going really well, without a hitch. There are a lot of people here.”
The community festivities included several raffles, with the town raffling off donated items, among them a furniture set and a boy’s and a girl’s bicycle.
