Labor Day is over, but the local farmers market is still going strong!
Our 24 vendors have more to offer than ever, with a huge bounty of beautiful vegetables. The long-awaited arrival of Little Apple farm finally took place a few weeks ago, as Ron Bixby’s 300-tree orchard ripened and allowed him to begin bringing his many varieties of apples to market. In general, the vendors have totally “found their groove” and have perfected their offerings, knowing exactly what their regulars want every week.
Besides the amazing food selection, we also offer entertainment at our market. This coming week, we are glad to host musician Tom Hanford. And, delightful Ashling Kelly from the Library will be on hand from 10:30-11:30 with her popular “Storytime” for youngsters.
Tying in to this weekend’s Roe Jan Ramble Bike Ride, farmer Tom of Yonderview Farm offers a 10% discount to any customer who arrives to the market on a bicycle. Thanks Tom!
So, bring a basket, grab your kids, put a leash on your dog and come on by. We look forward to seeing you!
