HUDSON — The Zoning Board of Appeals met Wednesday night to discuss repair work done on the Hudson River last year by gravel company A. Colarusso & Sons, Inc.

Colarusso is appealing a citation issued by the city for replacing a 75-foot concrete and wood bulkhead at the company’s Hudson dock with a steel bulkhead.

The Order to Remedy was issued by City Code Enforcement Officer Craig Haigh on Jan. 24.

Colarusso filed the appeal in a 15-page letter to the city Zoning Board of Appeals on Feb. 24. In the letter, company attorney John J. Privitera argued the project was completed months before and was fully permitted by federal and state officials, including public notice and comment periods.
