He may have taken tough questions, but he didn’t answer them. According to this Register-Star story, many constituents left feeling “dissatisfied” by Faso’s “vague” responses.
“(Catskill resident Andrea) Mitchell shared how she was denied coverage before the Affordable Care Act was passed because of a pre-existing medical condition, and asked Faso for his promise not to repeal the health care legislation, during a rally at his Kinderhook office in late January.
“Faso embraced Mitchell in a hug and promised to protect her health in a moment captured on video. “I think we love to see the human side of politicians and in that interaction John Faso had a human side,” Mitchell said. ‘I think if he showed that more often and was more empathetic to what the needs of this district are he would go a lot farther.’
“Mitchell expressed her concerns over Faso’s decision to vote for the American Health Care Act, which he voted to pass through the House Budget Committee in March, despite his promise to her.
” ‘My question is, moving forward how can we trust your promises?’ Mitchell asked at the town hall.”
