BEHOLD! New Lebanon is about to launch its new season as the first museum of contemporary rural American life. At our May 26 Season Preview, we will describe this year’s programming, introduce you to some of BEHOLD’s Rural Guides, and demonstrate a sampling of the animals that BEHOLD! visitors will meet during more than 100 summer tours.
The BEHOLD! programs crack the myths about rural life and at the same time are stimulating the economy in a town that has a rich heritage. Over our 18-week season, visitors board a shuttle to meet Rural Guides at their barns, studios, farms, nature trails and businesses. They’ll meet the farmers, artisans, innovators, chefs and historical preservationist who contribute to the rich back-stories of rural life and work.
Coffee will be available at 9:15am, the program gets under way promptly at 9:30. Meissner’s Auction House, 438 Rte. 20, New Lebanon.
R.S.V.P., so we can count you in for the preview, when you will have an opportunity to meet and talk with Ruth J. Abram, founder and president (photo), and many of our local guides and other dignitaries. Contact is Jasmine DeJackhome, 518-720-7265 (firstname.lastname@example.org).
