Valatie Community Theatre
*former Vaudeville Theatre designed and built with Live Acoustic*
The Valatie Community Theater was built in 1926 for Vaudeville performances, and as a “movie house”; it was acoustically designed for “live” sound without amplification.
The theatre currently operates today with live performances as well as screening occasional films.
The Valatie Community Theatre exists to develop, encourage and produce theatrical talent and provide an opportunity for expression in the art of theatre. The VCT also hosts an annual summer Youth Theatre Workshop.

Valatie Santa Claus Club
“First in the Nation”, the Valatie Santa Claus Club was founded in 1946, to make sure every child up to and including age ten in the Village of Valatie receives a visit from Santa.
All of this happens in the very village (Valatie) where Virginia O’Hanlon Douglas, of “Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus” fame spent her last days. The little girl who was looking for the spirit of Christmas and the existence of Santa, found them both, alive and well, in Valatie, New York.
