HUDSON — U.S. Rep. John Faso endorsed the proposed Republican legislation to replace Obamacare in committee, but he will take the time to ponder the merits of the bill before he makes a decision on his final vote when it reaches the House floor.

Faso, R-19, sat down with the Columbia-Greene Media Editorial Board on Monday.

Faso discussed several issues, including health care, the federal budget proposal, climate change, border security and immigration, international relations, his approval of Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch and his future plans for addressing constituents.

Faso voted in favor of passing the proposed legislation, the American Health Care Act, through the House Budget Committee on March 16, but is unsure how he will vote for the legislation on the House floor.
