MASKS4PEOPLE was cofounded by Kristen Dodge (Founder/Director of SEPTEMBER gallery in Hudson, NY) and Laleh Khorramian (Visual Artist and clothing maker, Catskill, NY) on March 12, 2020 in response to the developing crisis of COVID-19. M4P masks are made by a team of artists based in the Hudson Valley.

The mission of MASKS4PEOPLE is to make and distribute face masks to organizations and individuals in need for FREE. MASKS4PEOPLE has distributed over 5000 masks to over 175 organizations as of mid-May. The Greene County Council on the Arts (Catskill, NY) has recently been made the fiscal sponsor for MASKS4PEOPLE. ​To learn more visit: ​MASKS4PEOPLE.NET​.
