CATSKILL, NY—Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) visited Community Action of Greene County, Inc. a designated anti-poverty agency serving Greene County. The organization also serves Columbia County through their Domestic Violence Program. Congressman Delgado toured the agency’s facilities including their food pantry and learned more about how they have expanded their program offerings to accommodate increased need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The pandemic has placed a strain on everyone in our region, and I am grateful for organizations like Community Action of Greene County, Inc. that provide vital services for those living in poverty. Today I toured their facilities and learned more about the different programs offered by the agency that support struggling families in our area,” said Rep. Delgado. “Our conversation today focused on the need for additional affordable housing and how to structure future coronavirus relief funding to provide for the most vulnerable in our society. The good folks of Community Action of Greene County have met the moment throughout this global health crisis and I’ll keep pushing at the federal level to secure resources for those most in need.”
