In its ninth year, Samascott’s 2020 corn maze is a special one. The design pays tribute to family member Kayla Beth Samascott Wilson, who died in February of cancer. At 36 years-old, she is survived by her husband, two small children, extended family and friends.
“She was a lovely person,” says her brother, Jake Samascott. “She really loved her children. She loved her family. She would always make it a point to get her children out into the maze every year and do all the fall activities.” This year’s reward for finding each of the eight stations inside the maze is a small ice cream twist with sprinkles, a favorite of Kayla’s.
You can read about how the Samascott family is keeping Kayla’s memory alive while creating new memories for others in the November issue of HomeStyle Magazine, page 4.
