HUDSON – Beginning this Saturday, November 21st, the artwork of Kim Bach will be on display at TSL – Time & Space Limited, 434 Columbia Street in Hudson. Her pieces will be part of a show entitled, Three Plus One: Kim Bach, Tyler Robins, Michael Sheedy + Earl Swanigan. All works are for sale.
Bach has been an artist all her life. She was raised in a creative household and is the niece of famed Utah artist Lee Deffebach. She studied at the California College of Arts & Crafts and has been an Artist in Residence at the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum in San Francisco. She was the recipient of a Yaddo Fellowship and more recently taught photography as an adjunct Professor at Long Island University.
Kim Bach’s art is often a study-in-motion. Her subjects embody energy and movement. From flowers to horses to pears, Bach’s paintings seem to move constantly. As the Hudson, NY artist says, “…painting is energetic and transformational.”
Bach’s colleagues in this show include outsider artist Michael Sheedy, a self-taught painter from Vermont, and Hudson resident Tyler Hart Robins. In addition there will be work on display by another former Hudsonite, Earl Swanigan – additional pieces from the subject of an earlier TSL show.
For the date of the opening, this Saturday, Nov. 21st from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, please register for a 30-minute time slot. Gallery tours from Friday through Sunday from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. Advance reservations are required. Admission is free. You can register at the TSL website: http://www.timeandspace.org. Masks are required.
