Olde York Farm Distillery & Cooperage will now have cheese plates at the tasting room! The launch is this Friday April 20th (4pm-9pm) and Saturday April 21st (12pm-9pm).
The cheese plates will be available during all open hours and will feature local cheese.
This weekends cheese plate:
Cabot Clothbound Cheddar, St. Stephen Triple Cream, Eleven Brothers Washed Rind, Meyer Lemon Preserve, Castelvetrano Olives, Medjool Dates, Walnuts, Edible Flowers, Winter Wheat Crackers, and Cranberry-Hazelnut Crisps.
Cabot Clothbound Cheddar:
Aged to perfection at Jasper Hill Farm. Although, Cabot Creamery is a co-operative, the milk for this cheese comes from one farm known for it’s exceptional milk quality. It is then traditionally aged in lard and cloth.
Our Master Cooper, Stuart Newsome says, “Although this is a local cheese, it’s the only cheddar that I’ve had in the states that instantly brings me back to my childhood in Yorkshire, England.”
St. Stephen Triple Cream:
Made by a family owned and operated creamery in Stephentown, NY called Four Fat Fowl. It’s luxurious creamy texture is reminiscent of cheesecake but melts in your mouth like butter
A family farm with the creamery ran by four sisters in Enosburg Falls, Vermont. They named this cheese after their eleven brothers! It is a tomme-style goat cheese with a washed rind. It’s full of nutty, buttery, and sweet marshmallowy notes.
No cheese plates on Sunday because we have a Food Truck Pop Up with Savory Side!
