Stream some local history during the holiday break! The latest History Room on Zoom video is up and ready to view. Hudson natives Kimberly Erwin, library board member and author of There’s Only One Race – the Human One, Says Me!, and Carl Erwin, musician, discuss the history of their family in Hudson. From The renowned Chicken Shack at 221 Columbia Street run for decades by Carl’s mother Helen Erwin to the accomplishments of Hudson Hall of Famer, journalist, photographer, and poet Marin L. Erwin, aka Dr. Americus Moses Kash, III, interviewer Gary Sheffer elicits the fascinating stories of this community-minded family. To view the interview, which follows the Erwin family from Hudson to the Apollo Theater to the LA Times to Baja California, click the link shown above.
