A CHRISTMAS CAROL a warm holiday tradition with The Two Of Us Productions!

COPAKE, NY –The Two Of Us Productions, the award winning theater company based in Columbia County NY, is pleased to present a virtual-live staged reading of the wonderful Christmas Classic “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens.

This performance, the fifteenth & final production of their 2020 Virtual Live-Staged Reading Series, is being presented on Sunday afternoon December 13th, 2020 at 3:00pm in collaboration with Friends Of The Copake Grange

In A Christmas Carol we meet the miser Scrooge on Christmas Eve 1850. The melancholy Scrooge finds himself alone at home when he sees before him the ghost of Jacob Marley, his long-time friend & deceased business partner. Marley warns Scrooge that in death he will be punished for all the suffering he has caused others, & he has only one chance to escape his fate.

That night while he sleeps he is visited by three ghosts! These Ghosts take Scrooge on a journey through Christmases from his past, present and yet to come. We see Scrooge as an unhappy child and a young man more in love with money than his fiancé. Scrooge sees his clerk, Bob Cratchit’s family and Tiny Tim, who is very ill, but full of spirit. He then sees his nephew Fred’s Christmas celebrations – which he had been invited to, but rebuffed. Finally, we see The Future which terrifies Scrooge, by showing him visions of his own death.

The ghosts’ journey through time teaches Scrooge the error of his ways and he is full of the joys of Christmas.
