Explore the fun and science of sound at this interactive, eco-friendly event! Sound Explorers will be visiting Roe Jan Community Library at 2pm on Friday, February 21. Using handmade instruments built from recycled materials, Sound Explorers creates experiments and listening activities that are both engaging and educational, allowing children to develop contemplative skills such as perception and auditory awareness. Among these exercises are forays into jazz, classical, and world music. Best of all, children will have the opportunity to play with friends new and old, combining learning with movement and socialization.
Roeliff Jansen Community Library, which is chartered to serve Ancram, Copake and Hillsdale, is located at 9091 Route 22, approximately one mile south of the traffic light at the intersection of Routes 22 and 23.
