LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts is looking for a few angels… Asbestos Angels!

Just as we were preparing to break ground on our new performing arts center in downtown Catskill — a project that is poised to become an important driver of economic development and neighborhood vibrancy– we learned that there was asbestos at our site despite initial testing that showed none.

This news was a gut punch. It not only threw us off balance, it also disrupted our schedule and budget.

LUMBERYARD is at a critical juncture. Read more from this Op-Ed in The Register Star:

and this Daily Mail article:

We remain committed to bringing cutting edge performance to the Catskill area in the summer of 2018 and are embarking on an emergency fundraising campaign.

To help kick-off our campaign, a generous anonymous donor has pledged $5000 in matching funds, meaning that every donation up to the first $5K will be matched dollar for dollar. We are now only $87 away from meeting the first match goal!

Donate today at http://www.thelumberyard.org/asbestos to double your impact.

I hope you will support our work during this crucial moment.

Thank you,

Adrienne Willis
Executive and Artistic Director
