Hansel & Gretel are back! Diamond Opera Theater and the Hudson Opera House
are pleased to present an production of the beloved children’s opera. Two performances are offered: Friday, December 2 at 6:00, and Saturday, December 3 (Winter Walk) at 2:30pm. Both occur at Christ Church Episcopal.

A wine and cheese reception will take place after the Friday performance, thus a donation of $10 is kindly requested, and children under 18 are free. The Winter Walk performance on Saturday is free for all.

The opera tells the story of Hansel and Gretel, two children who get lost in the woods and meet a witch living in a gingerbread house. The witch intends to turn the children into gingerbread cookies but Hansel and Gretel outwit her!

Featuring the vocal talents of Mezzo-soprano Mary Hack, as the wicked, charming, outrageous Witch (who also directs the performance); Emilia Donato as Gretel; and Hansel will be sung by Ariana Stultz. The double role of Sandman/Dew Fairy will be played by Nina Dante. And Music Director Noah Palmer returns to accompany the vocalists.
