HUDSON — Over 300 runners and walkers had a haunting good time in Hudson on Sunday at the Ghostly Gallop 5K held at Hudson High School.

The race has been held for the past 17 years to help fundraise for the Hudson Area Library, Race Director Gary Sheffer said. This is Sheffer’s first year as race director; he was asked to take on the job by Bob Rasner, the previous director. The event consists of a judging of costumes, a Kid’s Fun Run and a 5K Run, followed by a 5K Walk.

“I’ve run a lot of races in my life. I’ve never organized one, but it seems to have gone well today,” Sheffer said. “I wanted to do this because I really believe in the library.”
