The Berkshire Hillsmen, a longstanding barbershop
quartet, will perform its “Ice Palace Barbershop
Music Show” at Columbia-Greene Community
College on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.

The chorus is a part of the Pittsfield chapter of the
Barbershop Harmony Society, which is headquartered
in Nashville, Tenn. The Pittsfield chapter was
formed in 1957, and its members are from
Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York.
Until recently, the chapter met and rehearsed in
Pittsfield MA until a decision was made to move the
meeting location to Richmond MA which was
physically more central to the members in general.
The year 2015 was a special year for the Hillsmen
as they became the first barbershop chorus or quartet
to sing at Tanglewood.

Tickets are $8, general admission, and $6, students
and senior citizens. Tickets are available at the
Greenport campus and the Greene County Council
on the Arts in Catskill. Telephone sales are available
weekdays by calling (518) 828-4181, extension 0.
