Tai Chi and Qigong for Seniors
WEDNESDAYS at 11 AM six one hour sessions October 10, 17, 24, & 31 & November 7 & 14

In this class you will learn a short Qigong routine that is easy on your joints, improves flexibility, deepens your breathing promoting better circulation and energy, and is done slowly and in a very relaxed manner. Qigong can even be adapted to being seated in a chair for those having trouble being on their feet for the full hour. You will also learn a short Tai Chi form that will improve your balance and coordination. Tai Chi does require you to be on your feet.
The instructor, David Haines, has been teaching Qigong and Tai Chi for over 30 years and is the author of the very popular DVD ” The Twenty Minute Body/Mind Routine- Tai Chi and Qigong for Busy People”. He teaches locally at Columbia Greene Community College, Bard College at Simons Rock, the Athens Senior Center and Omega Institute.
