The Cottage, in Mt. McGregor, New York (near Saratoga Springs), was the final home of our eighteenth President. It is there that he lived with his family for the last 6 weeks before his death from throat cancer. During that time, he completed the best-selling book, “The Civil War Memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant.”

Historian Hugh Howard and Elizabeth Diggs, writer of the new play, GRANT & TWAIN, will have a conversation about these two “rock stars of their time”.

This coming Saturday, July 14th beginning at 4pm. The discussion will take place at Red Rock Historical Society, 407 County Route 24 in East Chatham. A donation of $10 is suggested. Call 518.392.2286 for more information.
